What is the card upgrade?
The card upgrade is a free, essential update that gets your card ready for Apple Pay and future improvements. It helps deliver:
Extended validity: A brand-new card number, CVV, and a new 3-year expiration date.
Apple Pay compatibility: Seamlessly pay with your iPhone or Apple Watch.
Do I need to upgrade my card?
To use Apple Pay, some existing cards must be upgraded first. If the app prompts you, please complete the free card upgrade first to ensure a seamless connection to your Apple devices.
Timeline: Upgrade invitations will be sent out gradually between January 20 and March 31.
Notifications: We will gradually send app notifications to eligible users. If you don't see the option yet, please keep your app updated and your notifications on.
Get started with your new card
To enjoy the best experience, follow these three steps:
Update: Ensure your RedotPay app is updated to version 3.0.1.
Upgrade: Open the app → select [Card] → tap [Upgrade] and follow the instructions to upgrade your card for free.
Link: Add your new card to Apple Wallet and start using Apple Pay.
Why can’t I link to Apple Pay even after upgrading?
If your setup isn't working as expected, here is a quick checklist:
Card Status: Make sure your card is set to Active in the RedotPay app.
App & System: Ensure your iPhone is running the latest software and your RedotPay app is updated to v3.0.1 or higher.
Security: Confirm Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode is enabled on your device.
Region: Check that your device region supports Apple Pay and your Apple ID has two-factor authentication enabled.
Accuracy: Double-check your card details and OTP codes to avoid any typos.
I linked my card, but why is my payment failing?
Check your balance: Make sure you have enough funds in your RedotPay account for the purchase.
Confirm your card is active: Go to the Card page in the app to ensure your card status is set to [Active].
Merchant support: Check if the store or website accepts RedotPay cards.
Processing time: Sometimes there’s a short delay after linking a new card. Wait a minute and then try your payment again.
Important reminders
Action required: Update your saved card details on other apps and sites to avoid payment interruptions.
