You open a position from the Trade page by choosing a market, setting your margin mode and leverage, entering your order, and confirming. This example uses ETH/USDC-PERP.
1. Go to the Trade page
In the RedotPay app, tap [Trade] in the bottom navigation. You'll see the price chart, the order book, and the order panel.
2. Choose a market
Tap the market name at the top to select the contract you want to trade, for example ETH/USDC-PERP. The screen then shows that market's live price, chart, funding rate, and other details.
3. Set margin mode and leverage
In the order panel, set:
Margin mode: Cross or Isolated.
Leverage: tap Leverage and choose a multiple, such as 5x or 10x.
Higher leverage increases your risk and moves your liquidation price closer to the current price. Set it based on your risk tolerance.
4. Set your order
In the order panel, set:
Order type: Market or Limit.
Price: for a Limit order, set your limit price (you can use a quick price like Mid).
Size: enter an amount, or use the percentage slider.
To add a take-profit or stop-loss, turn on TP/SL and enter the trigger prices.
5. Choose a direction
Buy / Long: if you expect the price to rise.
Sell / Short: if you expect the price to fall.
Check your order details, then submit.
6. Confirm
A confirmation window shows your leverage, position size, and estimated liquidation price. Review these carefully, then confirm. Check the estimated liquidation price before you confirm — it's the price at which your position would be closed automatically.
Once submitted, your position appears in Positions at the bottom of the screen, showing entry price, mark price, PnL, liquidation price, margin, and funding.
Managing your position
In Positions, you can:
Close the position.
Change your take-profit or stop-loss (TP/SL).
Adjust margin or margin mode, where available.
