The Gift feature lets you send crypto gifts to friends in the RedotPay app. You can send a fixed or random amount, and recipients can claim their gift in the app or through a link you share.
How do I send a gift?
1. Open the RedotPay app, go to [Home] - [More], and select [Gift].
2. Under the Send Gift tab select [Prepare Gift].
3. Select the cryptocurrency and enter your desired amount. You can also add a message (optional).
4. Set any optional preferences:
Split the gift among several recipients.
Send random or fixed amounts.
Limit the gift to new users only.
5. Choose how to send it:
Create a gift link and share it with your friend.
Pick someone from your contacts and send the gift directly.
6. Confirm and send your gift.
7. Once processed, your gift will be ready soon.
How do I receive a gift?
There are two ways to claim a gift:
From a gift link: open the link your friend sent and claim it directly.
With a gift code: open the RedotPay app, tap [More] - [Gift] - [Open Gift], enter the code, and claim your gift.
What are the requirements for sending and receiving a gift?
Both the sender and recipient must have completed identity verification.
Note: Your app must be version 2.4.0 or later. To send a gift, you'll need to verify your identity and set up a security method (2FA, passkey, or biometrics).
Is there a time limit to claim a gift?
Yes. Gifts must be claimed within 48 hours. Any gift that isn't claimed in time is automatically refunded to the sender.
