General Information
What is National QR?
National QR is a unified system for easy cross-border payments. It allows you to pay merchants in Vietnam and the Philippines by scanning their local QR codes with your cryptocurrency balance.
Where can I use it?
RedotPay currently supports two QR payment methods:
1. Vietnam: VietQR
2. Philippines: QRPh
How do I use the "Scan to Pay" feature?
1. Open the RedotPay app.
2. Tap the Scan icon in the top right corner of the home screen.
3. Scan the merchant's QR code.
4. Enter the amount.
5. Review the details and confirm your payment.
What permissions are needed to scan?
You’ll need to allow camera access in the app, and complete identity verification before you can use Scan to Pay.
What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?
Static: You scan the code and enter the payment amount manually.
Dynamic: The payment amount is pre-filled automatically once you scan the code.
Troubleshooting & Errors
Why did my QR payment fail?
If a QR payment doesn't go through, it's usually due to one of the following:
1. Network connection. Make sure your device has a stable internet connection.
2. Account balance. Check that you have enough balance to cover the payment, including any fees.
3. Transaction limits. Confirm the payment is within your daily and per-transaction limits.
Will I get a refund if a payment fails?
Yes, in most cases. If a payment fails due to an issue on the merchant's side or a system error, the funds will be returned to your account automatically — usually within 10 minutes.
What should I do if I see an "Invalid amount" error?
Ensure the amount is within the allowed range: at least 8,000 VND. Adjust the amount and try your payment again.
What should I do if I see a "System error"?
Check your internet connection and try again. If the error persists, the service provider may be temporarily unavailable; please try again later or contact the merchant.
What should I do if my order status is "Processing"?
Most status updates appear within 10 minutes. Please wait patiently and do not scan the QR code again to avoid duplicate charges.
If a refund is required, please note that refund status updates can take up to 24 hours.
What if the app shows a successful payment, but the merchant hasn't received it?
Confirmations can take up to 10 minutes. If the transaction is still pending after 10 minutes, please contact the merchant for assistance.
Refunds & History
How long does a refund take?
Most refunds are completed within 24-48 hours.
Where will my refund be sent?
It will be refunded to your original payment method.
Why is my refund taking so long?
Refund times depend on network conditions and provider processing speeds, but most refunds are completed within 24 hours.
What should I do if I haven't received my refund after 24 hours?
First, contact the merchant for confirmation. If the issue remains unresolved, please contact our support team with your transaction details (amount, time, and merchant information) so we can investigate.
Why would a refund fail?
Refunds usually fail due to network issues or service provider delays. If your refund is unsuccessful, please contact support with your transaction proof.
Will I lose my funds if a refund fails?
No. Delays are typically caused by network or provider issues. If your funds do not appear, contact support with your transaction details for verification.
Where can I find my transaction history?
View all orders in the [Transaction history] section of the app.
What information is shown in the transaction history?
Each Scan to Pay entry will show:
1. Local currency used
2. Merchant name
3. Amount of crypto paid
4. Payment method
5. Transaction time
6. Exchange rate at the time of purchase
7. Transaction type (Scan to Pay)
8. Order status

Why is there a 10 PHP fee on some Philippines payments?
The 10 PHP fee is charged by the receiving bank, not by RedotPay. Some banks in the Philippines apply this fixed fee to QR code payments — others don't. Whether you're charged depends on the bank behind the QR code you're scanning.
Before you complete a payment, the fee (if any) will be shown on the payment confirmation screen as "Fixed fee: 10 PHP".

The payment amount is calculated as: Local Currency × Exchange Rate.
