How Do I Receive My Phone Verification Code?

If your code isn't arriving

We have two ways to help. First, try general troubleshooting. Then, try specific steps for the verification method you'd like to use (WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, or voice call).

Troubleshooting

General troubleshooting (for all verification methods):

  • Check you have signal and that your phone plan is active. An unpaid bill or suspended plan can block both texts and calls. Turning Airplane Mode off and on can help you reconnect.

  • Check that Do Not Disturb is off and you haven't blocked unknown or international numbers.

  • Wait for the countdown to finish, then tap [Resend code]. Always enter the most recent code, older ones stop working.

SMS troubleshooting:

  • Check your spam or blocked-messages folder. Some phones filter unfamiliar or international senders there.

WhatsApp or Telegram troubleshooting:

  • Make sure the number linked to WhatsApp or Telegram matches the number on your RedotPay account. If they don't match, your code can't be delivered. This is the most common cause.

How to receive your code

Depending on your account and region, you can receive your code by:

  • SMS: a text message to your phone.

  • WhatsApp: a WhatsApp message. WhatsApp must be installed and registered on this number.

  • Telegram: a Telegram message. Telegram must be set up and registered to this number.

  • Voice call: an automated call that reads your code aloud. This option can appear after you've tried the other methods a few times and still haven't received your code. It's only available in select regions.

Please note the options shown, their order, and any suggested option can vary by account, region, and app version.

How do I switch the method for receiving my code?

On the phone verification screen, tap [Get code]. Or, if you've already requested a code, wait for the countdown to finish and tap [Resend code]. Either action lets you choose SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Voice call (if available).
