New Security Measures to Enhance Card Protection at RedotPay
New Security Measures to Enhance Card Protection at RedotPay
Updated over a week ago

RedotPay has introduced new measures to enhance security and prevent card abuse. These changes are designed to protect our community while ensuring that responsible users are not negatively impacted.

Overview of New Measures

1. Small Transaction Fee

To discourage excessive minor transactions, a fee will be applied to small transactions under 1 USD. Starting from the sixth such transaction within a calendar month, a 0.20 USD fee will be charged for each additional transaction. This measure encourages more efficient spending habits.

2. Declined Transaction Fee

To reduce repeated declined transactions, a fee will be introduced after multiple failed attempts. From the fourth declined transaction in a month, a 0.50 USD fee will apply to each additional declined attempt. This policy encourages users to maintain sufficient funds and avoid unnecessary declines.

Common reasons for declined transactions include:

  • Insufficient balance

  • Frozen or lost cards

  • Incorrect card details

  • Card payment restrictions

3. Negative Balance Policy

To maintain account integrity, accounts that go into a negative balance will be temporarily frozen. Users will have 30 days to top up their accounts. If the balance remains negative after this period—or if five additional declined transactions occur—the card will be canceled, and account functions will be disabled immediately. Any outstanding fees must be repaid to restore account access.

Commitment to Users

These measures are implemented to foster a secure and responsible environment for all RedotPay users. We aim to prevent card abuse and potential fraudulent activities while maintaining high service standards.
