Staying alert to phishing emails and scams is essential to protecting your assets. Follow the tips below to help you recognize and prevent common fraud tactics targeting RedotPay users.
1. Verify the Sender’s Email Address
Scammers often spoof email addresses to impersonate RedotPay.
What to check:
Legitimate emails should always end in @redotpay.com. Emails from domains like
@redotpay-support.com
or@redotpay.vip
are suspicious.Use RedotPay’s Verification Channel on the official website to confirm the sender’s address.
In the RedotPay App, tap “Contact Support” in the bottom-right corner. Verified sender addresses will display an official badge.
Note: Email addresses can be faked. Even if the verification tool confirms the domain, it does not guarantee the message is genuine. Always stay cautious and contact support if unsure.
2. Be Cautious of Email or Message Content
Scammers may reach out via email, social platforms, or messaging apps pretending to be RedotPay staff. Here’s how to protect yourself:
Never Share Sensitive Information
RedotPay will never ask for:
Wallet recovery phrases
Passwords
Full card number, CVV or expiry date
Crypto or fiat transfers to unknown addresses
Even if the message appears legitimate, it may be spoofed.
Submit Suspicious Emails for Review
Received a suspicious request? Submit the .eml file to RedotPay for verification.
How to get the .eml file:
Open the email and click the three-dot menu (top-right corner).
Choose “Download message” or “View original.”
Upload the file via the RedotPay website or App support portal.
Don’t Click Suspicious Links
Never click on links unless you’ve verified the sender. Phishing sites may steal your login credentials or assets.
3. Use the Anti-Phishing Code
The Anti-Phishing Code is a security feature that helps confirm if emails are truly from RedotPay.
What to do:
Check if the email includes your personal anti-phishing code.
If the code is missing or incorrect, treat the message as suspicious.
To set it up:
Log in to your RedotPay account.
Go to Account & Security > Anti-Phishing Code.
Create a unique code (e.g., a word or phrase you recognize).
Tip: Enabling your Anti-Phishing Code adds a powerful layer of email protection. If the code isn’t present or doesn't match, it’s a major red flag.
