1. Requests to Transfer Funds to Fake RedotPay Wallet Addresses
What happens: Scammers impersonate RedotPay staff and claim they are conducting blockchain tests. They ask you to send crypto or fiat to a fake “official” address.
Example: An email claims RedotPay is running a “blockchain stress test” and promises a 10% reward if you send 1,000 USDT. After the transfer, the scammer disappears.
How to protect yourself:
RedotPay will never request transfers to unknown wallet addresses.
All official events are announced via the Announcement Center and rewards are claimed manually via the Benefits Center.
If you receive such a request, contact support and submit the original email (.eml file) for review.
2. Fake RedotPay Social Media Accounts
What happens: Scammers create fake profiles on Telegram, WhatsApp, X, and other platforms to impersonate RedotPay.
How to protect yourself:
Confirm accounts have official verification badges and match those listed on RedotPay’s Community Page.
RedotPay does not use WhatsApp for any communication. Any WhatsApp message claiming to be from RedotPay is fraudulent.
Always access RedotPay via trusted links.
3. Fake Airdrops or Rewards
What happens: Scammers promise large rewards or airdrops if you send funds to a specific address.
Example: A message promises a 1,000 USDT airdrop if you deposit 500 USDT. After sending the funds, no reward is received.
How to protect yourself:
Be cautious of any offer requiring upfront transfers.
RedotPay rewards are only distributed via the Benefits Center and never require prior payments.
When in doubt, verify the offer with official support.
4. Impersonation of RedotPay Staff
What happens: Scammers pretend to be RedotPay support staff on messaging platforms and ask for sensitive details.
How to protect yourself:
Never share passwords, bank details, or wallet recovery phrases.
Official support is only available via the RedotPay App, official website, or verified email.
Report suspicious contacts and attach screenshots or email files for investigation.
5. Fake RedotPay Websites or Apps
What happens: Scammers build fake websites or apps to steal your login credentials or trick you into transferring funds.
How to protect yourself:
Always check the website URL is https://www.redotpay.com and look for the lock icon in your browser.
Only download the RedotPay App from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Report any suspicious sites or apps to RedotPay’s security team immediately.
6. Web3 Wallet Authorization Scams
What happens: Scammers trick you into connecting your wallet to a fake dApp, leading to malicious token approvals and asset theft.
Example: An email, appearing to be from RedotPay, offers a Web3 investment opportunity. You connect your wallet and unknowingly approve a malicious contract. Funds are drained from your wallet.
How to protect yourself:
Never connect your wallet to unknown dApps or websites.
Always check contract details and source authenticity before authorizing any action.
If you suspect you approved a malicious contract, revoke access immediately:
Go to Revoke.cash and connect your RedotPay Cloud Wallet.
Grant access to the wallet extension.
Select the blockchain network (e.g., Ethereum, BNB Chain).
View the list of active approvals under your wallet address.
Click Revoke next to any suspicious entries.
