Authorized refers to the settlement status, meaning the money has been paid to the merchant, but the transaction has not yet been fully processed. This status typically updates within 1-4 days, changing to either Cleared or Refund. Transactions in the Authorized status cannot be withdrawn or canceled.
- If the transaction is successful, the status will change from Authorized to Cleared, which usually takes 1-2 days, indicating that the settlement is complete.
- If the transaction is successful and the user initiates a refund, the status may change from Authorized to Cleared then to Refund. Change from Authorized to Cleared usually takes 1-2 days. After Cleared, the refund period is generally calculated from the time of initiating the refund within 2-15 days.
- If the transaction fails, the status may change from Authorized to Refund, which usually takes 1-2 days. After it changes to Refund, the money will generally be returned in the original way. The arrival time is generally 2-15 days from the time of initiating the refund.
- Authorized transactions require processing time, and in some cases, they may take up to 30 days, depending on the merchant's authorization cancellation rules.
